Dayshift, 5 over 7

Job Objective & Responsibilities:


We are looking to appoint a proactive Security Officer with Customer Service at the forefront of all they do to ensure our customers have the best experience.

You will assist in maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment for all our customers, retailers and staff. This is a permanent 42 hr contract. SIA licence required, CCTV licence desired.


Job Spec:


  • Carry out daily/weekly/monthly duties as outlined in the site Assignment Instructions
  • Be present on the mall to ensure a safe and secure environment is maintained
  • Conduct patrols covering all areas of the shopping mall and service yards
  • Take an active role in emergency situations including first aid and fire warden
  • Oversee external contractor management to ensure safe working practices
  • Enjoy working part of a team as well as the ability to work independently to reach the shared goal
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal to assist with accurate report writing
  • Excellent time management
  • Smart, wellgroomed and confident
  • Conflict Management aware
  • High level of customer care awareness
  • Familiar with patrolling and monitoring from both a loss prevention aspect and health & safety
  • SIA Door Supervisor/Security Guard licence essential

Health & Safety Responsibilities:


  • Conduct daily/weekly/monthly duties in line with the SIA licence training courses to ensure the centre is safe and compliant in all aspect of health & safety
  • Confident in complying with health & safety and fire prevention procedures
  • Always follow ABM Group and company policies and procedures
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received
