Job Title:
Relationship Counsellor
Hours of work:
Part-time
- Minimum 6 hours per week
Location:
Counselling in specified venues in West Surrey
Reporting to:
CEO /Supervisor - clinical management only
Contract length:
Permanent
Key Working Relationships:
Works closely with the CEO, Administration team, Counsellors, and Clients.
Main Purpose:
To work with the Centre team to deliver relationship counselling to individuals and couples to remain an effective counsellor, the individual will engage in ongoing professional development training and development, ongoing individual supervision and participate in group supervision as required.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship (Couples) counselling experience is imperative
To comply with BACP ethical framework and research guidelines and to work within Relate National's policies and practice guidelines, and in every respect, to work to maintain the standards and reputation of Relate
An Enhanced DBS will be required. This can be enabled during the Induction process.

Whilst undertaking work with Relate West Surrey clients:
To work as a counsellor at dates/times agreed with the centre management and to vary these as reasonably requested.
Not to work at times, places or venues unauthorised by Centre management
A minimum Level 5 Adult Relationship counselling qualification required
You must live within commutable distance from Esher or Woking
To participate in the required ongoing professional training and development (CPD) appropriate to the job role and within the service specification of the Relate National or as locally determined.
Attend an annual minimum of 18 hours a year of individual supervision and a minimum of 8 hours of case supervision groups (CSG's).
To maintain adequate and secure client case records and provide management with information about client appointments, personal timesheets and other data as required.
To comply with the complaints, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
To undertake other activities deemed reasonable and related to the delivery of Relate West Surrey counselling services at the direction of the CEO.
