This is the national Head of Risk role in our Risk and Internal Audit team.

Network Rail are looking for a

Head of Risk to be based out of one of our offices in the Great Britain. This post leads Network Rail's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, supporting the organization in the identification and management of risk, leading continuous improvement, and collaborating with risk professionals across Network Rail and the wider industry in support of better whole-industry decision making.


About the role (External):

This is a diverse role; you will undertake various activities including but not limited to:

  • Presenting to the executive and board committees on the risk landscape and progress managing principal risks.
  • Supporting Network Rail's risk community, bringing people together to support shared understanding and professional development
  • Leading workshops to identify key risks and develop risk management plans, working across Network Rail and the wider industry
  • Engaging with industry risk bodies to understand best practice and challenge existing approaches
  • Working with internal audit and other providers on riskbased assurance programmes
  • Promoting the value of effective risk management, for example through leading training for senior teams

- Band & Salary: 1A (£82,995 - £93,370) per annum depending upon experience, plus benefits (see below)
