I am currently recruiting for a Business Solutions Consultant to work in the water brokerage team of a leading Energy Provider based in Elland and covering clients mainly in the North West of England.

This is a Hybrid role requiring office presence 2 to 3 days per week and the rest from home/visits.

As a Business Solutions Consultant your key duties will include:

  • Organise and manage yourself to produce a productive and effective output of data and appointments via bold and cold calling
  • Outbound phone calls to potential customers to promote company products and services in line with customer requirements
  • Sell services over the phone and arrange face to face meetings with potential customers to ensure achievement of sales targets
  • Recognise and seek opportunities to up/cross sell additional products and services that the business offers
  • Proactively build, manage and maintain relationships with clients via facetoface meetings
  • Operate and effectively manage our CRM database with all customer contact and information ensuring accurate records are maintained
  • Keep abreast of developments within the water and utility services markets, provide accurate market information to clients and share new industry knowledge with colleagues.
  • Research and prepare information for prospect meetings to identify their requirements in order to assist with closing the sale
  • Knowledge of regulatory bodies, and adhere to codes of conduct
  • Review your own sales performance, ensuring yours and the company's targets are met or exceeded
  • Attend external seminars and conferences as and when required
  • Participate in ongoing training and development, regular performance reviews and monthly one to ones
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the company
  • Adhere to Company and department standards, policies and procedures to attain and maintain the required competency level to perform the role and, in particular, to promote a culture where customers are treated fairly, with openness and honesty
  • Understand the health, safety, environmental & associated legal requirements that are relevant to our work and comply with these.

As the successful Customer Services Representative, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Confidence in making outbound sales calls to new customers along with existing ones
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent organisation & attention to detail
  • Be effective at working as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal

The hours of work are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
