Project Co-ordinator (Lighting & Renewables)


CorEnergy specialises in the; design, supply, installation and financing of commercial, industrial, healthcare & education-based LED Lighting, Solar & EV Charging solutions.

Lighting has been the main focus of the Company's sales to date, however Solar PV and EV Charging are key aspects of our future growth ambitions.


The Company is led by an experienced entrepreneurial team focused on delivering high-quality solutions directly for end-user clients, offering a range of funding structures.

The Directors have a successful background in Corporate Finance and commercial scale renewable energy generation & energy reduction projects.


The Company has built an enviable list of clients in the industrial, commercial and healthcare sectors and 2020 has been a record year so far for the business (against the current global backdrop).

Due to our rapid expansion and ambitious growth plans, an excellent opportunity has therefore arisen for an experienced Project Engineer / Manager to work as part of the entrepreneurial team.


The role will work closely with other team members, subcontracted electrical installation teams, and on occasion, end-user clients, to ensure a smooth and seamless project delivery.

This will include supporting with the planning, management of suppliers, internal resource and/or external contractors to deliver projects from inception to successful completion (cradle-to-grave).

Project values generally range from £20k - £500k and the position will involve some level of travel across the UK, though the role will primarily be office/home based

Our offices are based in Manchester, but hybrid homeworking is encouraged.


Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the internal sales/commercial team & clients to fully understand project objectives and develop project programmes/plans
  • Support with all projectrelated correspondence, schedules, plans, deliverables, and documentation as required by the lead project manager
  • Where required, support the Project Manager and SHEQ advisor with all aspects of personal and project H&S to current legislation and best practice, including RAMs.
  • Coordinate tasks to ensure that all the aims of the project are met i.e. completion on time, within budget and to the required specification.
  • Support the Project Manager with overseeing the accounting, costing and invoicing of projects
  • Work as part of a team to ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality of engineering and technical standard
  • Be proactive in looking at possible issues or future improvements
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure product and equipment are delivered to site on time
  • Evaluate the success of the project and share lessons or best practice with other organisations or project managers
  • Use IT or other systems to keep track of people and progress

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong Project Management skills. A drive to ensure optimal capital spend, time and robust solution delivery on all projects
  • Strong organisational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritise well when managing multiple projects at a time
  • Excellent attention to detail, accurate and methodical in work to overcome challenges and see projects through to completion
  • Ability to deal with complex tasks under pressure
  • Clear communicator, confident in communicating and influencing at all levels
  • Ability to build relationships and a good rapport with clients to generate confidence
  • Experienced Excel user (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence
