We are delighted to be working with a prestigious manufacturing business based in the heart of the Black Country.

Specializing in an array of plastic parts and tooling they are a tier 1 automotive supplier who count the like of JLR, Nissan, Bentley and JCBas customers to name a few.

Following extensive investment in the plant, restructuring and continuous improvement activity they are now looking for a new Quality Inspector to join their team:


Annual Salary:
£30,342


Double Days:

Monday-Thursday 5.40am-1.50pm / 1.40pm-9.50pm
Friday-5.40am-11.30am / 11.20am-5.10pm

Working as a Quality Inspector/ Engineer your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Ensure components meet customer requirements/specifications by conducting first off analysis, testing the product in line with PQR requirements ensuring the process controls detailed in the control plan are being adhere to.
  • Ensure quality systems / department goals are achieved to meet the business requirements and take appropriate action to improve where necessary.
  • Undertake investigation of quality problems (product, system, process) utilising appropriate problem solving techniques, ensuring robust preventative actions are executed and verified as being effective.
  • Assist in lean development activities, including kaizen activities.
  • Where required liaise with customers at their premises and internally to discuss quality problems and/or assist with quality audits also contributing to ongoing enhancement of relations.
  • Conduct capability studies and analysis data using Minitab software and review data in conjunction with relevant quality / production engineers.
  • Measure components as required using CMM machines to achieve customer satisfaction in times of agrees.
  • QA Alert submission to Production Team.
  • Cost reduction projects.
  • Experience working in a fastpaced Tier 1 Manufacturing environment
  • High level of Literacy & Numeracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Office packages
  • Be able and willing to conduct supplier and customer visits
  • Conduct rework on site and in customer premises
  • Conduct Annual Quality Assessments at Customer / Supplier premises
  • Perform supplier audits
  • Perform shopfloor in process inspection activities
