The UK Safran Electrical & Power team has expertise in designing and developing electrical systems comprising generators, power conversion, distribution and control, with developing expertise in electric motors for aircraft propulsion.

The Role


As a Product Industrialisation Leader at Safran Electrical & Power you will deliver our new products using modern manufacturing techniques, working with the latest technology to ensure Safran remains as a global leader within the aerospace industry.

You will ensure the product industrialisation team delivers new products within the design for manufacture and design to cost requirements for each program.


  • Lead the product industrialisation team in delivering new products within design for manufacture and design for cost requirements for each program
  • Project manage and coordinate the manufacturing industrialisation of all new products
  • Act as a focal point between program management and other functions across the site, ensuring industrialisation strategies are implemented
  • Engage with multiple functions and departments to challenge design, manufacturing and test strategies across the site, improving process capability where possible
  • Ensure modern manufacturing techniques are adopted as appropriate
  • Contribute and lead technical reviews for new product design
  • Occasional travel to other Safran sites and suppliers will be required

Desirable Experience

  • Degree or equivalent in relevant engineering field
  • Experience within the aerospace industry beneficial
  • Experience of managing supplier relations
  • Experience of Product Part Approval Process
  • PPAP
  • A deep understanding of manufacturing, design and test strategy
  • DFM, DFC, DFT
  • Demonstrable leadership experience within an engineering or industrialisation environment
  • Analytical approach to managing product costs
  • Ability to communicate and influence with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Evidence of written English at interview stage
