Labour 24/7 are an employment business acting on behalf of our Swinton based client who due to increased sales growth are recruiting for an experienced workshop operative to assist mainly as an assembly operative and will also support other departments of the business.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of noise control systems and design and build louvres.

Main duties in the workshop:
Assembly of the noise reduction product (Louvres) using hand powered tools. (Training provided)

Cutting material to insert into the louvres.

Riveting mesh to attach on the back of the louvre systems.

Packing the product when assembled ready for despatch.

Shrink wrapping goods on pallets.

Will also be trained in other aspects of the workshop:
Using a press brake machine to fold metal sheets that are used in the assembly of the louvres.

Prepping/Cleaning welds (Training provided)

Using saw to cut lengths/sections of metal (Training provided)

Hours of work are Monday-Friday 7am-3.30pm. Overtime available when business needs require.

15 minute paid break in the morning. Unpaid 30 minute dinner break

X1.5 After 40 core hours worked per week. Saturdays available when required. 7am-11am.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business.

This position is for a temporary duration however due to business needs may lead to more ongoing work and possibility of permanent when you have completed satisfactory probationary period.
