Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic Head of PR to drive the external communications for TM Forum.

This role supports the Executive VP of Marketing to ensure that the TM Forum brand is highly visible in industry press communicating value to our members, raising awareness, and driving market impact.


Responsible for organising and overseeing the Public Relations activities, together with our PR Agency, you will communicate across our product and event portfolio collaborating with multiple stakeholders globally including media and our Member Organizations.


The Head of PR position at TM Forum will drive external communications to bolster the organization's visibility and influence within the industry.

Reporting into and working closely with the Executive Vice President of Marketing, the role involves crafting and executing a comprehensive 12-month PR strategy in collaboration with the PR agency.

Responsibilities include overseeing PR campaigns, creating compelling content, managing agency relationships, and cultivating media and stakeholder connections globally.

This role also involves coordinating with internal teams, contributing to business KPIs and OKRs, organizing PR events, and supervising social media activities.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with Executive Vice President of Marketing & PR agency on strategic planning and the execution of a 12month PR strategy.
  • Manage PR campaigns aligned with our media strategy.
  • Responsible for copywriting press releases and constructing content for external facing presentations in collaboration with our PR Agency and wider TM Forum teams.
  • Manage daytoday relationship with PR agency which include but not limited to, weekly calls, progress plans, monthly reporting, and annual agency evaluation.
  • Build and nurture relationships with journalists/analysts.
  • Build a network of senior comms contacts across our global membership increasing exposure for TM Forum.
  • Collaborate with product marketing and all lines of business to ensure streamlined communications and external messaging is up to date.
  • Work with Executive VP of Marketing on PR strategy and execution for our leading industry events.
  • Write up content from TM Forum events for distribution to our members.
  • Contribute to the overall business Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and Objectives and Key results (OKR's).
  • Organize & Manage PR events (e.g., open days, press conferences).
  • Oversee TM Forums Social Media Manager and assess digital content.
  • Stay on top of industry trends.

Requirements:


  • A proven track record of successfully implementing PR campaigns and a deep understanding of PR preferably within telecoms or tech.
  • A degree in PR / Communications or extensive relevant experience.
  • Ability to create and execute strategic PR plans managing agency resource and budget.
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills.
  • Creative talents with an ability to initiate new campaigns.
  • Keen networker with an ability to build and maintain industry and media contacts.
  • Ability to present to a range of stakeholders at a senior level and at client events.
  • Team player with leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a sharp attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of, and ability to oversee social media.
