Permanent / Full Time 37 hours per week


The Vacancy:

An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to join our Social Care Finance team.


Key tasks and responsibilities:


  • To work under the direction of the Senior Finance Manager to administer queries and process payment runs in relation to Care Payments
  • Proactively handle enquiries delivering excellent customer service by responding to all queries within agreed service level agreements
  • Update and maintain council systems
  • Review and update procedure guides in line with continuous process improvement
  • Attend our local offices in Town Hall, Weston Super Mare, as required
  • Ability to communicate to staff, members of the public and external customers.
  • To ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and associated codes or practices, and to complete regular online training sessions.

Essential Skills and Attributes:


  • Successful applicants will be educated and have obtained 5 GCSE's
  • Proven experience in Social Care Finance or a similar background with transferable skills.
