Day Shift, 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 10:00 - 22:00 flexibility required from time to time

Salary - Competitive

Location - Elm, Wisbech

Contract Type - Permanent - two roles available


An exciting opportunity has arisen at our site As our business expands, a new role has become available to join our 4 on 4 off day shift teams as a Deputy Shift Leader.


You will be supporting the Shift Leadership in providing visible and effective leadership in the factory to deliver the daily production plan through consistent, joined-up and cost-effective performance, whilst ensuring the highest quality, technical and health & safety standards are maintained.

This role will deputise for the shift leader and step down to cover for area leaders when required to do so, so effective communication and joined up decision making is key.

To excel in the role of a Intake Area Leader, you will need a specific set of skills and qualities


Some of these include:

  • HACCP awareness


  • Food safety level

  • IOSH Managing Safety
- fire safety awareness

  • GMP awareness
  • Knowledge of BRC and customer audits
  • KPI reporting/tracking
  • Continuous improvement
  • Sound knowledge of food safety and H&S
  • Strong leadership and people management
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Microsoft office competence
  • Minimum 4 years in the food industry/manufacturing
  • Managing team and individual performance
- facing into customer/compliance audits
