Learning Support Assistant

Looking for a Learning Support Assistant role with fantastic in-class support and the opportunity to work with small groups and 1:1 in KS2? Look no further A local school is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Learning Support Assistant, with an immediate start available.

Role Responsibilities:

Supporting small groups and individual students in their learning, including those with Special Educational Needs
Assisting with the preparation of lesson materials and resources
Working closely with the class teacher to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Monitoring and recording student progress, and providing feedback to the class teacher
Encouraging student participation and engagement in lessons
Providing pastoral support to students, including managing behaviour and emotional regulation

Role Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, particularly in KS
A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum and the needs of learners at this stage
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
A patient and empathetic nature, with the ability to build positive relationships with students
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
