Learning Support Assistant


Looking for a Learning Support Assistant role with fantastic in-class support and the opportunity to work with small groups and 1:1 in KS2? Look no further A local school is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Learning Support Assistant, with an immediate start available.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting small groups and individual students in their learning, including those with Special Educational Needs
  • Assisting with the preparation of lesson materials and resources
  • Working closely with the class teacher to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, and providing feedback to the class teacher
  • Encouraging student participation and engagement in lessons
  • Providing pastoral support to students, including managing behaviour and emotional regulation

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, particularly in KS
  • A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum and the needs of learners at this stage
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A patient and empathetic nature, with the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
