Salary:
£26,000- £30,000


35 hours - 5 days a week near Whitechapel

There are three main functions to this role:

Marketing:


Facilities and Operations Management - The function will be focused on the day to day running of the centre ensuring the space is clean and fully stocked, the deliveries and mail are received and sorted, defects are logged with the appropriatefacilities team, and ensuring members enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.


Community Engagement - This function will help to develop and deliver innovative entrepreneurial support programmes such as workshops, training and networking events for the tenants to increase the stickiness factor of the space.


The post holder will have excellent all-round administrative, organisational and IT skills, and the ability to deal confidently and professionally with people at all levels both within and outside the organisation.


Duties:


  • To be the first point of call for tenant enquiries and requests for assistance and to provide them with a timely response
  • To assist the company's Executives to market and recruit potential tenants, conducting viewings with potential members
  • To assist on community culture and networking events, ensuring actively facilitating collaboration by getting to know tenants and their work, introducing people and organising relevant, enjoyable events
  • To assist in creating a 'Business Support Network' for tenants and to put them in touch with relevant suppliers and contractors in areas where the incubator does not provide the services directly
  • To support the Executive team with tasks on an ad hoc basis and provide reports on the performance
  • To actively participate in a H&S reporting role, ensuring tenants follow H&S practises
  • To assist in the development and the delivering of innovative entrepreneurial support programmes such as workshops, training and networking events to Incubator tenants
  • To help in liaising with Technology Transfer and Business Development departments for collaboration, partnership and funding opportunities
  • To proactively identify and deliver opportunities for tenants to access the very best support from the wider University and local, regional and national communities
  • To be an ambassador for the Enterprise Zone and help raise awareness of the space and programme
  • To ensure common spaces are always maintained to a high standard
  • To update the website and social media with relevant news from the tenants and the wider university group
  • To prepare meeting rooms as necessary for the tenants (including helping with AV equipment set up etc.), manage bookings and monitor their usage
  • Prepare incoming post for tenants and coordinate the storage and notification of incoming perishable goods to tenants
  • Coordinate refreshments and catering for tenant meetings and events
  • General office management e.g. monitoring and ordering stationery, cleaning material and refreshments
  • Maintain the coffee machine and vending machine i.e. cleaning and restocking
  • To support reception with tasks/duties and desk coverage when needed.

Requirements:


  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable speaking, selling, and growing the community
  • Extensive experience in customer and community focused environment
  • An understanding of the workspace market
  • Event management experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent IT skills, clear understanding of all MS packages and Intermediate level skills at MS Word & MS Excel
  • Proactive selfstarter with a desire to show initiative
  • Strong team player
  • Conflict resolution and problemsolving skills
  • Able to work under pressure, be flexible and cooperative
