The Role The Responsibilities**:
To lead the implementation and evaluation of best-in-class people strategies that support the organisation in achieving its vision, mission and strategic goals.
To lead People Partnering that delivers business goals through engaging people‐focused solutions, to champion the People agenda across the organisation.
Leadership
- Accountable and responsible for the development, achievement and evaluation of the UK & IRE People, and regional, strategies and objectives.
- Working collaboratively with the people leadership team with Shared services and functional expertise on attraction, recruitment, induction, engagement, reward, retention, cultural and talent development.
- Motivate and develop people team to deliver high quality, customer‐centred solutions.
- Strategic and operational use of People KPIs to ensure that:
- Relevant people metrics inform and support business decisions.
- Employee data supports and drives employee engagement activity
- Lead the implementation and embedding of initiatives to support the employee life cycle and colleague experience
- Ensure that equity, diversity and inclusion is firmly embedded within People strategy, policy and practice, and the value of "we're one team" and "we all make a difference" is realised.
Learning and Development
- Partner with L & D to implement the right L & D solutions that support business objectives
- Ensure effective execution of strategy to, identify and maximise the potential, improve capability, of individuals, teams and the organisation
- Partner with L & D to support excellence in service delivery, and the flexibility to meet changing business needs and priorities.
Resourcing
- Develop strategy with resourcing for difficult to fill vacancies find right solutions
- Share colleague stories to embed employer branding and understanding of competitor activity
- Understand turnover and have plans in place to reduce this
Talent & succession
- Develop & coach OM talent to destination role
- Feed top talent into group and UK succession plans
Reward
- Partner with Reward to define UK reward and recognition strategy
Engagement, change & culture
- Lead UK action planning in Ops.
- Link in with comms strategy on engagement actions and activity to drive improvements
- Feedback colleague listening to OD & Board
- Development & lead People Operations strategy
- Communicate & lead employee change
- Bring to life an inclusive culture
Operations
- Partner with OD's and COO to deliver & shape people and Ops plan
- Clear understanding and alignment to business priorities
- Workforce planning to ensure right number people in the right roles with the right skills in the right locations & brands
- Support with reviewing the Cost per labour hour to targets
Skills & Knowledge Essential**- Previous generalist HR experience in a fast-paced organisation
- Experience of managing and delivering HR annual cycle activities
- Able to build effectives relationships and facilitate solutions across multiples stakeholders
- Successful implementation of change work
- Confident and organised selfstarter and team player
- Able to prioritise work and juggle a variety of issues
- Experience of dealing with a variety of ER issues and a good understanding of current UK employment law
- Able to influence people at different levels
- Ability to be flexible and work under pressure
- A proactive, solutionsfocused, and pragmatic problem solver
- Excellent organisational, planning and project management skills
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Analytical and numerical skills to analyse large data sources effectively and be able to identify trends
- Previous experience working in a head office environment
