Main Duties:


  • Member of the pastoral team
  • To support and supervise pupils with SEMH/learning difficulties who may present with challenging behaviour under the direction of the Deputy headteacher for Pastoral
  • A large part of the job will entail working with identified children to set targets and promote a course of action that means the child can overcome any barriers to learning and fulfil their potential.

- will quickly build rapport and effective professional relationships with both our young people and colleagues
- will enthuse and motivate colleagues and students to work hard and try their best
- has previous experience of working with children aged in an education setting

- has the ability and willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role


The working hours will be:

Monday - Friday (Hours TBC)

  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

- working with secondary aged children in any setting: 2 years (required)
- working with pupils behavioural/emotional difficulties: 1 year (required)
- working with secondary aged children in educational setting: 2 years (preferred)


Language:


  • English (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Counselling qualification (preferred)

Work authorisation:

  • United Kingdom (required)
