An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a secretary to stroke AHP services Central.


Working closely with the stroke consultant therapist you will be responsible for providing professional, efficient and effective administration and secretarial support to the Stroke Allied Health Professional Multi-Disciplinary Team.


The main duties will involve arranging meetings/managing the diary, receiving and inputting referrals, booking appointments and inputting data, typing minutes of meetings, typing letters/reports and inputting staff data.

You will need to be flexible, reliable, adaptable and have good organisational skills. A pleasant telephone manner and good communication skills are essential.

You will also be computer literate with experience of Word and Excel, be a team player and able to maintain confidentiality.


By the nature of the duties, the post-holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, relatives, medical staff and other colleagues, using the telephone and in writing, with courtesy and discretion at all times.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
