About The Role:

An exciting opportunityfor a Healthcare Asistnt to join the team at the Leeds PET-CT Centre.

The Leeds PET-CT centre features two innovative PET-CT scanners, providing rapid diagnostic imaging for our patients. We perform FDG, FEC-Choline, PSMA, FDG Brain and Choline for Parathyroid PET-CT scans.

Please note:
this is a 9 month fixed term role to cover maternity leave.


Skills and Experience:

Our Healthcare Assistants provide a pivotal role in supporting our Radiographers.

Working directly with patients in the clinical environment, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals with an interest in healthcare.


Role responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in patient preparation
  • Chaperoning
  • Cannulation
  • Positioning of MRI patients on the scanner and MRI coil changes
  • Clinical stock management
  • Clinical audits
  • Processing of patients via our E-Systems
  • Admin cover where necessary


To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate good communication, IT and administration skills, alongside a compassionate and enthusiastic demeanour.

A flexible, organised and enthusiastic attitude is essential. Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred but not necessary as full training will be provided. Competency in IV cannulation would however be advantageous.
