About The Role:


We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health Care Assistant to join our new Community Diagnostic Centre in Northampton.


The location for the new purpose-built Centre will be Kings Heath and we will run and MRI and a CT service.


We are seeking a motivated individual who is looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of our new team, ideally some previous experience in a Health Care setting is desirable.


You will be working with a dedicated team of Senior Radiographers and Radiographers and will provide support to the qualified clinical staff in the form of assisting with patient care, facilitating the movement of patients through the clinical pathway as well as performing some administrative duties such as data entry, post processing, and reception cover.


You will also be required to IV cannulate patients as part of the role, rest assured, should you not have any prior experience in IV cannulation, Alliance Medical will provide full training.

Hep B immunisation is necessary for this role.

The hours for this role are 40 hours per week Monday - Sunday

Please note:

At present the service is undertaken on Mobile MRI and CT scanner, which is located close to the Kings Heath site, these services will transition into the new purpose-built centre one building work is completed.


Skills And Experience:


You should have experience in a Healthcare environment as you will be required to provide both administration and customer/patient support, including chaperoning patients and assisting the Radiographers throughout the scanning process.

You will also be required to undertake administrative duties related to the patient pathway in line with standard guidelines.

To be successful in this role you must have good communication skills both written and verbal, together with good IT and administration skills and the ability to understand and comply with radiation protection protocols.

Excellent patient care skills are essential.

Attention to detail is key, along with being flexible, organized and having an enthusiastic attitude.

You will need to be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and under pressure, meeting deadlines and turn
- around times.
