Accounts Assistant 6-month FTC

Our client is an award-winning, mutual insurer providing health insurance, income protection and life insurance. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant on a FTC to join their thriving business.

The is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our client on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract.


About the role:


Providing support to the Management Accountant and Assistant Accountant with the day-to-day functions of the department, and preparation of Management Accounts.

You will ensure an efficient finance service in line with our clients first-class customer experience.

Whilst being an integral part of the team and manage risk management within the role as well as:


  • To assist in the production of the monthly Management Accounts
  • To carry out bank reconciliations
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Journal postings
  • To perform daily reconciliations of data coming into the systems from AXA
  • Accurate preparations and submission of monthly reinsurance reporting
To be considered for Accounts Assistant role you must have:

  • Strong Administration skills
  • AAT Qualified or working towards (desirable)
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Microsoft packages)
  • Effective and confident communication skills, both oral and written
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
