Caremark are currently recruiting Care Workers to work within the Gateshead area. As a Care Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring that clients are supported, have all essential needs met, and for many, you will be the smiling face that they look forward to seeing dailyWhy Caremark?

The role of a Care Worker
- No two days are the same, as a Care Worker you will visit users of the service in their own homes, you will support them with meals, fluids, medications, mobility support, personal care and ensuring that your client is fit and well.
- You will provide not physical support, but also emotional support and be a listening and friendly ear. Humour and a positive attitude is a must
- A Care Worker role is not just about what you can do for the client in terms of 'care', but also you are there as a friendly face, company, someone to chat to and listen to them
Skills & Experience
- Experience is not required for the role of Care Worker, this can be learned. However, a compassionate, empathetic, supportive and caring approach is essential and a genuine interest in supporting others
- You will be someone who can easily identify changes in someone, who is able to recognise when something is different. Excellent attention to detail and attentiveness is very important for a Care Worker
- An exceptional Care Worker is someone who has the ability and desire to brighten someone's day, who enjoys making people smile and who is able to create a positive experience for those using the service
Requirements:
- Transport is required for this role due to the locations of the visits
- You will be available to work between the hours of 7am and 10pm (with breaks throughout) and to work every other weekend on a rota basis. Options to work morning/lunch/weekend one week, then teas/beds/weekend off is available
- You will be required to carry out online and in branch training (as a neurodiverse friendly employer, support can be provided with this so do not this put you off if you have extra support requirements and encourage you to apply)
- Willingness, strong communication skills and most importantly, a passion to excel
