We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, University of Sheffield for a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate with experience of modelling manufacturing processes.

In this role the postdoctoral research associate will work in an interdisciplinary team and perform modelling of the mRNA manufacturing process.

This modelling work will guide the development of processes for rapidly mass-manufacturing mRNA-based vaccines and therapeutics at high quality and low cost in a disease-agnostic manner.

We are looking for independent researchers who have demonstrated their ability to perform and ideally publish high quality research. You will possess a PhD or equivalent research experience in (bio)chemical engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in modelling manufacturing processes, preferably for mRNA (or other (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing) unit operations is essential.
