This is a wonderful opportunity to lead in the gardens and to work for Principals who appreciate the development of the grounds.

The gardens consist of a total of 26 acres, which includes formal gardens, with herbaceous borders, display glasshouse and production greenhouses, woodland, an arboretum and an orchard. In addition the walled garden has recently been acquired and presents the opportunity for rejuvenation, redesign and new planting.

A strong horticultural knowledge is required with a proper understanding of plant husbandry for trees, shrubs, hedging, herbaceous perennials and annuals as well as lawns and plants under glass. The ability to operate and maintain garden machinery is important, as is certification for chainsaw use and spraying equipment.

This role requires a positive and flexible mind-set with a good sense of humour. It also involves being part of a team that enjoys working together on the estate.
