We are now looking for an Event Marketing Lead to join our fantastic team (in Chster or Cheltenham).


Role:


  • Responsibility for execution and optimisation of event marketing strategy and plans.
  • Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager and working with Executive Team members.

Responsibilities:


Planning, Strategy & Analysis:

  • Management of all planned activities within budget and agreed schedules.
  • Monitoring of response rates for key activity and creating reports and action plans to maximise future results or to improve response.
  • Ensure campaign creative and branding is on message.
  • Providing input for reports for lead monitoring, google analytics, and campaign success.

Database & audience development:

  • Developing visitor and exhibitor databases.

Digital marketing:

  • Develop PPC and social campaigns.
  • Maximising website search optimisation and google ranking.
  • Develop and deploy social media plan including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter

Partnership development:

  • Partnership research, outreach, acquisition, and renewals.
  • Negotiating partnership deals.
  • Delivery of partnership activities preevent, onsite, and postevent.
  • Development of relationships with key exhibitors, advisory board members and industry stakeholders

Direct Mail & Print Advertising:

  • Production and delivery of event print and direct mail materials, from content, proofing, design through to print and mailing, ensuring relevant signoff and approval is met.

Content marketing:

  • Working with content team to produce content including articles, white papers and webinars.
  • Work with exhibitors, partners and advisors to generate testimonials to be used throughout the marketing campaigns.

Website management:

  • Ensuring websites are optimised to generate registrations and leads.
  • Ensuring websites are kept fully up to date with all new content, exhibitors, and conference agendas.

PR & media outreach:

  • Management, creation and delivery of PR campaign.
  • Build a media database and develop media attendance.

Registration:

  • To provide the registration brief to Event Platform & Registration Manager.
  • To work with the Event Platform & Registration Manager and registration company to maximise registrations via services such as social media integration, prepops, auto badging

On-site responsibilities:

  • Visitors, exhibitors, delegates, media, and speaker interviews
  • Media partners/associations delivery
  • Video capture of sessions with editing for use on demand.
  • Manage event surveys.

Essential Attributes

  • Two years Marketing Experience, preferably in exhibitions, events or publishing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to adapt the tone of writing according to the brand/industry/audience.
  • Confident with multitasking and jumping between marketing channels, understanding the nuances of each.
  • Impeccable organisational skills and excellent time management with the ability to prioritise across multiple projects, campaigns, and brands.
  • Fastidious attention to detail.
  • Excellent team player who can operate with significant autonomy, taking decisions and making recommendations.
  • Confidence in sharing ideas and is able build internal relationships remotely to ensure that the entire business is onboard with the marketing strategy.
  • A lifelong learner who is always keen to develop themselves and their experiences.
  • Experience of CRM and marketing automation software.
