Role Overview


Campari Group UK is looking for a Consumer & Market Insight Controller to join the Marketing team as we continue to put insight at the heart of our business and brand strategy.

The Consumer & Market Insight Controller will act as a thought partner to the brand team, providing insight and training to ensure that the consumer is at the heart of our strategy.


This role will lead all consumer and market insight projects in the UK across Campari's unique portfolio of premium brands including Aperol, Campari, Appleton Estate, Wray & Nephew, Lallier, Grand Marnier and many more.

You will support the Marketing Director and Leadership Team with market, brand and consumer insight.

You will be a fundamental part of the UK strategy and planning cycle, whilst aligning and collaborating with the global, regional and local teams.

5 years experience in the field.

You will possess strong analytical capabilities coupled with good ad hoc research management skills (brief to evaluation) and the ability to work closely with stakeholders throughout the global and local business.


Key Responsibilities and Activities:

_Consumer & Market Insight_

  • You will be the lead consumer and market insight for the Campari UK business, with responsibility to interact with key local stakeholders, as well as aligning and working in partnership with Campari Group's global consumer insight team, to embed global insight tools and frameworks within the UK organisation
  • Work with the Marketing Director to embed consumer and market insight into the strategic and annual planning cycle for the UK business
  • Lead the creation of outstanding deep dives and situational analysis on brands, competitors and categories
  • Be a thought partner to the brand marketing teams as they develop local strategies to position their brands for continued growth in the UK market
  • Support the marketing teams to help ideate, guide, monitor and measure all brand building and activation projects.
  • Explore new and innovative ways to undertake consumer and shopper insight challenge existing ways of doing things and consistently push the boundaries to ensure that Campari UK is at the forefront of the industry

_Portfolio Insight_

  • Support the Marketing Director to scope the portfolio strategy for the UK market as part of the strategic planning process
  • Full ownership of consumer and brand segmentation tools
  • Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the key trends impacting UK consumers to provide the business with key actions and implications that drive strategic decision making
  • In collaboration with the Marketing & Brand managers, work on brand learning and evaluation plans to address key business questions and opportunities

_Team Collaboration & Development_

  • Collaborate across multiple local Campari UK functions, including category, customer marketing, brand, digital and commercial joining the dots to create powerful insight that can be shared both internally and externally
  • Be an active member of the global, regional and local consumer insight teams by sharing best practice and learnings from local and global projects
  • Manage the relationship with our existing consumer & shopper data suppliers and research partners and ensure that they're the right agencies for the taks. Whilst also identifying new agencies to work with that can help to enrich and support our research and insight plans
  • Collaborate to develop competitive brand building capabilities with local & global brand teams, digital teams and customer marketing teams to ensure that decisions are consumer & shopper led

Experience and Skills

  • Experience Required:_
  • A minimum of 5 years of Consumer and Market Insight experience
  • Ad Hoc research management. Experience with both Qual and Quant methods is prefered.
  • Familiarity with Brand Health Tracking solutions and Segmentation Tools
  • Strong Analytical Skills: good working experience with Continuous/ EPOS data (e.g. Nielsen, IRI, CGA)
  • Business Problem Solving: Identify, define and answer the right questions to help re
