Join us as a Japan Rates Sales Associate

  • Based in London, you'll be working in an associate role that focuses on Japanese speaking institutional accounts for fixed income products
  • As part of the global Japanese sales team, you'll be collaborating with colleagues in Tokyo and Stamford to provide seamless global coverage to our Japanese customer base

What you'll do:


Day-to-day, you'll be engaging with customers at a senior level and creating a profitable stream of business with due regard for risk and balance sheet utilisation.


Alongside this, you'll be matching our clients' needs with relevant products, while tailoring client solutions and engaging with relevant centres of excellence.


Your top priorities will include:

  • Supporting and maintaining a robust risk control environment
  • Implementing a client focus through our business, communications and client engagement strategy
  • Working with the broader sales team and our strategy and trading functions to generate trade ideas that're relevant to your targeted customer base

The skills you'll need:


To be successful in this role, you'll need to be fluent in Japanese and English and have experience of selling fixed income securities and derivative products.

Knowledge of FX products would be advantageous.


Furthermore, you'll need:

  • An analytical mindset
  • The ability to analyse relevant marketrelated data, trends and events
  • An entrepreneurial and commercial approach to work
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
