Bonnington House Nursery is currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner to join the staff team in our fantastic Nursery.

The Nursery is located in Trinity, Edinburgh, and offers full day care for up to 105 children from 3 months to 5 years.

The position will require you to work up to 36 hours per week, over 4 shifts (Monday-Friday) between the hours of 8am and 6pm with a day off per week (varied).

• All applicants must be qualified to at least SVQ3/HNC level in a relevant qualification and either be registered with SSSC or be able to do so within the first 3 months of employment

• A very good knowledge and understanding of Curriculum of Excellence and Previous childcare/nursery experience is essential.

As an experienced Staff Member, you are a key member of the nursery team responsible for delivering high quality care and learning opportunities for children, based on the needs and interests of those children.

• Work alongside the Preschool leaders to ensure the running of the room is at a high standard and well supported.
• Promote positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues.
• Ensure health, safety and wellbeing of the children.
• Support the children's development, learning and play.
• Become a dinosaur or princess when required
• Read stories upside down, whilst being interrupted at least 5 times per page
• Rapidly count little human's heads whilst they're all moving
• Dance in the rain
• Nose wiping skills are VITAL
• You must be comfortable entering public spaces with unknown substances on your clothing (food, glitter, paint etc.)
• The ability to sing is not necessary, but the ability to sing loudly and out of tune in a crowd of children is
