Description
To lead and manage, both strategically and operationally, the capital development. Lead estates development including setting and maintaining standards for the environment and advising the Board and staff.


Project Director role on all major/complex capital projects including facilitating and co-ordinating input from patients, clinicians, nurses, support staff and designers.

You will assume a dynamic, proactive role within the Estates & Facilities Team to deliver high quality and value for money major/complex construction projects from inception to completion.

You will be competent in using effective project management techniques whilst facilitating and co-ordinating input from patients, clinicians, building designers, planners, architects, consultants and sub-contractors.

  • Act as lead officer on behalf of the Director of Estates & Facilities in managing and monitoring the Trust's capital budget.
  • Develop and provide information to Finance for capital reports to the Trust Board and Monitor.
  • To lead and manage strategically and operationally, the capital development.

  • Setting and maintaining standards for the environment and advising the Board and staff.
  • Lead on the development of policies and strategies for implementation of the Trust's capital programme.
  • Direct and manage external consultants and contractors to ensure best value and quality is achieved.
  • Provide professional and technical design advice to project teams, estates staff and senior management.
  • To develop the development control plan and estates strategy.
