About Our Client:

Lovely and friendly College.

Due to new investment and internal promotions, they are now looking to recruit a highly focused, driven Maintenance Supervisor to lead the team.

My client has stated that they would consider Maintenance Engineers who are looking to make that next step into a supervisor position.

You will need to be multi-skilled, and you will be managing a team of 5 maintenance operatives under you.

  • You will organise and control all plant maintenance activities to ensure plant reliability, a safe place of work and an orderly and wellmaintained environment.
  • You will ensure all plant on site is regularly maintained through management of resources by use of Planned Maintenance on SAP.
  • Provide defect maintenance service which will ensure that faulty plant and equipment will be rectified as quickly as possible.
  • Maintain safe working practices, including strict control of Permit to Work system thereby ensuring that internal maintenance team and 3rd party contractors carry out work in a safe manner.
  • Control of costs to the maintenance budget and maximise productivity through supervision of the workforce.
  • Involvement in accident investigation and reporting to maximise knowledge of causes and therefore enhance ability to prevent recurrence.
  • Engage and control of contractors for mechanical, instrument, electrical and civil work without scope of internal maintenance team.

The Successful Applicant:


Requirements include:

  • City & Guilds equivalent time served in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrument disciplines.
  • Experience of manmanagement and good communication skills.
  • Needs to have experience with mechanical and some electrical
  • Some experience of industrial plant maintenance.
  • Knowledge of relevant computer systems.

What's on Offer:

The starting salary for this position will be £40,000. The working hours will be Monday to Friday days based with on-site parking available. This is an excellent opportunity with long term stability and the chance to make your mark within the business.
