Our Cost Management team in London are looking to appoint an Associate Director.

You will join a proactive team, who manage the the cost of building projects from initial inception through to completion.

Delivering major schemes in London and the South East, you can expect to work across sectors to include heritage, education, commercial, retail, residential, and defence.

You will have experience delivering the complete range of quantity surveying, cost, commercial and risk management.

As an Associate Director you will report into the Director in London. You will play a pivotal role, helping us shape our emerging talent within the discipline. Alongside this, you will have line management responsibility for 3 junior team members. You can expect to find genuine scope for career development and progression.


Principal responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate complex projects and commissions
  • Provide commercial management on commissions, undertaking the job lead role on multidisciplinary appointments
  • Plan and monitor the financial performance of your resource team, to achieve business targets
  • Control daytoday programming and planning, staff resources and the monitoring of team delivery
  • Act as main Surveyor on complex major projects and programmes
  • Chair external client meetings and prepare/ oversee production of minutes of meetings
  • Maintain quality of team delivery and develop client relationships to secure repeat business
  • Undertake business development activities
  • Responsible for ensuring that you and your team understand and comply with all Pick Everard Security, Health & Safety requirements, practices, and procedure

About You:


As Associate Director for Cost Management you will forward-thinking, commercially aware, and driven to enhancing your own and Pick Everard's successes.

This role will suit an experienced Principal or Associate Cost Manager, looking to make their next career move. Alternatively an Associate Director looking for a new opportunity. You will have demonstrable knowledge of working across a range of sectors in a consultancy environment.


Key requirements:

  • Relevant qualification and membership of a professional body (RICS, CIOB, APM)
  • Excellent technical surveying and project delivery skills
  • Experience of cost management of building projects from feasibility/option studies through to detailed cost planning and post contract cost management
  • Selfmotivated and ability to motivate and manage teams
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to services development and continuous improvement
  • Good rapport and engagement with other parts of the business
  • A professional and compassionate attitude
  • A commitment to delivering a highquality client experience, with excellent client facing and management talents
  • Excellent teamworking skills
