What is the opportunity?
The role involves interaction with fellow IT staff and business users in London and throughout EMEA.

The position requires a dedicated, self-motivated person willing to work shift and on call to help support and develop the messaging teams infrastructure.


What will you be doing?

  • Assist in design and analysis of the Notes and M365 environments. Ensuring Enterprise class solutions are implemented ensuring all best practise and security governance followed.
  • Liaise and work with third party companies to develop solutions for Mizuho. Manage the third party and ensure they deliver on time, within budget and to the agreed standard.
  • To control security at Mizuho London according to Branch and Audit standards. Assist where appropriate in the rollout of new software or upgrades
  • To Administer M365 products (Outlook, Teams, InTune etc.) for the EMEA region
  • To manage the Domino servers in Mizuho London and European offices.
  • To perform housekeeping (incl. Backups/archiving) and monitoring of the notes servers.
  • To provide M365 and Notes training to business staff and first line support staff.
  • To work on BAU activities helpdesk calls, daily checks, weekend patching etc.
  • Participate in the DR recovery according to DR plan.


  • Project work

  • New solutions, upgrades to existing systems, working as part of a project team, managing smaller projects. Ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Ability to work shifts within a 7am to 6pm Mon to Fri, shift pattern and to provide out of hours callout support including Bank Holidays on a rota basis.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid working environment with an average of 40% office based and 60% home based
  • Subject to change and current project requirements

What do you need to succeed?

  • In depth knowledge and experience working in a multiplatform IT environment as a M365 and Lotus Notes administrator. Preferably in the financial sector banking, securities, or similar environment [essential]
  • Experience of designing and implementing M365 Features and Functionality [essential]
  • Experience of designing and implementing Exchange/Exchange Online [essential]
  • Experience of designing and implementing a Domino infrastructure [essential]
  • Experience of Upgrading Notes/Domino both planning and implementation [essential]
  • Architect level knowledge for Notes/Domino and M365 (Exchange related) [essential]
  • Strong experience of working with M365 products (Outlook and teams initially), administering and project based work [essential]
  • Experience of using Blackberry Management Server [desirable]
  • Experience of managing RightFax [desirable]
  • Experience of managing Clearswift for SMTP [desirable]
  • Working within agreed service levels [essential]
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral [essential]
  • The ability to communicate with, and relate effectively to, users and IT staff in a pressured environment [essential]
  • The ability to work as part of a team [essential]
  • Strong Problem Management Skills [essential]
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering service to SLA targets [essential]
