Salary:
£12.00 to £14.00 (Depending on Qualifications and Experience)

The Administrator will work under the direction of the Registered Home Manager to promote occupancy, quality, efficiency and organisation in the day-to-day management of the home.


Job Description to include but not limited to:

  • Maintain a tidy office and efficient systems by filing all documents, paper and electronic, as per cedar care management systems.
  • Assisting the manager in regular archiving activities, disposing or destroying out of date documents, files and information.
  • All confidential documents are always filed and protected as per policy.
  • The admission process of Residents is conducted as per Cedar Care policies and procedures, taking enquires from potential residents and their families and arranging viewings of the home. Giving tours of the home when required.
  • Completing all nonclinical requirements of the admission procedure.
  • Recruitment procedures are completed efficiently and thoroughly, assist in the induction and orientation of new staff. Ordering and distributing staff uniforms and badges.
  • Maintaining an uptodate staff register and keeping the head office informed of any changes regarding staff.
  • Staff working hours are calculated accurately and within required time scales.
  • Assist the manager in producing duty rosters, keeping accurate records of staff absence and sickness.
  • Liaising with the maintenance staff to ensure the repair or maintenance requirements are met.

Desirable Skills, Abilities and Experience:


  • NVQ in Administration or Office Management (or equivalent)
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise workload and pay attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and their relatives, internal departments, staff members and external agencies.
  • Strong organisation skills, computer literate and reliability.
  • A good knowledge of and experience of working with Excel, Word and Outlook.
