JMC Aviation are working with an FBO company based in Stansted, looking to recruit a new Senior Corporate Mechanic to join their team.

This client is well known for outstanding levels of service in their FBO facility. As a family run business with multiple decades of experience, they strive for excellence throughout their skilled workforce as they deal with in-house engineering and support services on business jets.

This is a Permanent Position based in Stansted.

Working a 5/5/4 shift pattern from 07:00 – 19:00.

The Role

The Senior Corporate Aircraft Mechanic assists Licensed Engineers with the maintenance of a designated zone of an aircraft. Additionally, they deputise for the Licensed Engineer, overseeing the zone and liaising with Hangar supervision.

Other duties involve:

• Execute maintenance tasks as directed by the Licensed Engineer, ensuring all relevant paperwork is accurately completed.
• Ensure all activities adhere to relevant company and Health and Safety procedures.
• Ensure that all contract staff are properly directed, have comprehensive work instructions, and are adequately briefed on each activity. Ensure they understand and work to the quality system as defined in the company MOE.
• Organise and control labour within the area of responsibility in conjunction with the Licensed Engineer.
• Raise work cards and requisitions as directed by the Licensed Engineer.
• Carry out and supervise aircraft towing manoeuvres using the company tug equipment. Communicate the progress of inputs/projects daily through written reports and meetings.

In order to be successful in this role the Senior Corporate Mechanic will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Completed a recognised aircraft mechanic apprenticeship.
• Computer literate with experience in ERP software and Microsoft Office.
• Full clean UK Driving Licence
