THE ROLE:


  • To develop and maintain strong and lasting client relationships through the delivery of exceptional service, and by doing so, contributing to the overall success of the Groups and Events team.
  • To be the first point of contact for our clients with regards to all enquiries and the maintenance of ongoing client relationships
  • To make both individual and group bookings (air, rail, hotels) and all ground travel arrangements liaising with appropriate DMCs as required
  • To provide excellent service to our clients always being the face of the business, being punctual, accurate and responding to the client requests
  • To follow up with clients to gain feedback and to support the process of ongoing business.
  • To always be looking for opportunities to seek new business and to work with the Business Development Manager where appropriate.

What Do You Bring:


  • You have at least 2 years' experience of working for a tour operator or travel agency and have strong GDS knowledge (Amadeus)
  • Experience within flight/rail booking, conferences, incentives and summer/winter parties.
  • A willingness to attend supplier events to enhance knowledge and build industry
relationship

  • Knowledge of complex fare routings
  • Excellent geographical knowledge/personal travel experience
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • A team player, creating strong bonds with your immediate team as well as other areas of the
business.

  • You demonstrate excellent organizational and relationship building skills.
  • You have fantastic attention to detail.
  • You are great at communicating effectively both verbally and in writing
  • You demonstrate strong destination knowledge.
  • You are professional in your approach and will always represent the Company brand well.
  • You are flexible in your approach to working in the variety of work you do, in relation to supporting your colleagues and in terms of the hours you are prepared to work when required across events.
  • You have a proactive approach you are calm under pressure and have a 'common sense' approach to problem solving.
  • You are able to travel with clients as required by the business (sometimes at short notice) and to work across weekends and evenings if required.
  • You have proven experience of working to deadlines and of being accountable.
  • You are extremely IT savvy you are competent in using the full range of Microsoft Office products (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word), online meeting tools (E.g. Teams and Slack) as well as web based sharing tools (E.g. Google Docs)
  • You are career focused with ambitions to further develop your career in groups and events

£26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
