Salford CAMHS are looking for passionate, skilled, and ambitious CAMHS practitioner who has extensive clinical experience and is qualified as Non Medical Prescriber.

Dependent upon experience and interests the post holder will be supported to develop a job plan which will allow for development of prescribing skills alongside generic CAMHS assessments, formulation buidling and therapeutic interventions.

This will also include working with young people and families with neuro divergence and diagnoses such as ADHD and ASC.


You must have a working knowledge of CAMHS and or adult mental health and have an understanding of assessing complex mental health needs and levels of risk, including safeguarding and self-harm.

You will offer prescribing clinics, involving initiation and titration dependent upon qualifications and experience and alongside other qualified Consultant Psychiatrists in the team


You will manage your own caseload, providing a range of high quality care appropriate to the child or young person's needs which will include; mental state assessment, risk assessment and management, family and social assessment, consultation and interventions.


A proportion of your working time is likely to be targeted towards these pathways alongside treatment of Mental Health Disorders via Evidence Based Practice and effective Clinical Supervision.


You must be confident and experienced in communication, due to the high level of liaison needed between CAMHS and other services and be willing to work flexible hours in accordance with the needs of the young people.
