Our Client is a multi-sector speciality distributor of raw materials and chemicals to the UK Manufacturing Industry. They are now seeking an
Internal Account Manager.This position will be
office based in Greenwich, London. It is a full-time permanent role.


Job Purpose

  • The position is responsible for contributing to the achievement of the sites budgeted target, through the management of existing accounts, managing and developing new customer relationships and the growth of sales to existing and new customers.
  • This role will be part of a sales focused account management team, taking responsibility for an allocated number of accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Internal Account Manager will work closely with existing clients to provide industryleading, efficient, friendly customer service.
  • The IAM will be responsible for the delivery of all monthly, quarterly and annual budgeted sales targets to contribute to the sites target, using effective sales techniques, within the company's sales procedures.
  • This position is required to maximise all commercial sales opportunities via the profitable development of new and existing business.
  • The IAM will work with their line manager to develop a sales plan for the area, monitoring and mapping objectives and timescales required to achieve sales growth.
  • The IAM will also work closely with all key stakeholders within the company to achieve the mutually required targets for the overall benefit of the company.
  • The IAM is also responsible for the appropriate administration required to achieve these targets, including (but not limited to) the completion of contact reports on a daily basis, the generation of quotations for customers and the completion of monthlyreports for line management to illustrate development and successes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven track record of exceeding targets within a telephonybased sales environment (essential)
  • Experience of using recognised sales techniques; implementing a structured sales strategy; managing sales pipelines (essential)
  • Customerfacing background (essential)
  • History of working towards targets and meeting deadlines (essential)
  • Previous experience within the chemical industry (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to adapt and tailor to the audience: customers; colleagues; stakeholders
  • Professional & polite telephone manner and an ability to build rapport with customers
  • Appropriate skillset and confidence level to work autonomously, with the ability to prioritise workloads and implement effective timemanagement
  • Open and cooperative style of working
