Longstanding IT Support and Software Development is looking for a 2nd Line Support Technician


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support via remoteaccess systems or onsite
  • Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Install hardware and software as per our clients' needs
  • Contribute to procedures and policies within the IT department
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in accordance with customer SLA targets
  • Take ownership of support requests, ensuring requests are kept up to date and ensure customers are always communicated too
  • Escalate IT issues to the IT Service Delivery Manager where necessary

Qualifications

  • Able to demonstrate good communication skills, written, over the phone and face to face
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in troubleshooting Microsoft environment
  • Willingness to learn new skills in a fastpaced environment
  • Comfortable working within a team or on own initiative
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows Server
  • Excellent working knowledge of windows 7 10
  • Excellent working knowledge of Office
  • Good working knowledge of Mac and Linux systems desirable
  • Good working knowledge of networking LAN, WAN, Firewall, Routers, DHCP, DNS
  • Backup configuration and maintenance experience
  • Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation maintenance of IT hardware and software

Working Conditions


The role will be office based with regular visits to customer sites as such a full UK driving licence is required.

Salary:
Up to £30,000.00 per year
