You will be directly involved in this exciting, high profile project worth over £5 million pounds, where you will be providing advice, support and guidance to stakeholders, Customer Project Team's and colleagues on matters relating to safety, health, risk,and the environment.
As SHE Lead, you will be accountable for delivering against key Safety, Health & Environment OKR's as well as monitoring relevant changes and updates to H&S law and best practices.
As part of the Harrow Green team, you will be based in or near Cambridge and will be able to provide advice, guidance, and training in line with government guidelines and legislation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide monthly reporting regarding health and safety issues, inclusive of but not limited to accidents/incidents; training; compliance.
- Provide advice, guidance, and training in line with government guidelines and legislation as well as best practice
- Attend and proactively contribute to relevant internal and external health and safety forums
- Complete suitable and sufficient risk assessments for individual colleagues, locations, and the business
- Develop health and safety plans and procedures according to legal requirements as a minimum
- Evaluate and update policies and procedures in conjunction with the Safety and Compliance teams
- Carry out safety audits and inspections and provide appropriate coaching.
- Monitor and report on health and safety compliance at the site level
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in managing health and safety in a dynamic workplace environment
- Able to problem solve and deal with difficult situations in a professional manner
- A sound knowledge of MS Office
- Hold as a minimum the NEBOSH General Certificate
- Hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or be working towards it
- Customerfocused mentality.
