£11.05 Monday to Friday, £16.58 per hour on Saturday's and £22.10 for any hours worked on Sundays.


Working Hours:
Permanent, Full-Time, 35 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Cleaning and Catering Supervisor to join our team as part of our contract with the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, based at Woodlands, Heath Road IP4 5PD

This is a Full Time role where you will be working 35 hours per week, covering various shifts.


The rate of pay is £11.05 per hour Monday to Friday, £16.56 per hour on Saturday's and £22.06 for any hours worked on Sundays.


This is an exciting opportunity to learn and develop as a Cleaning and Catering Supervisor, where you will be responsible for the planning, supervision and control of the day-to-day Housekeeping and Healthcare Cleaning Services, ensuring that service delivery meets with the required service standards within designated areas of control within the Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.


Other Key Responsibilities:


Health and Safety

  • Maintain a Healthy, Safe and Secure working environment in line with current legislation, G4S and Trust policies and procedures.
  • Engage all staff in awareness of and adherence to maintenance of a safe working environment.
  • Ensure all staff receive H&S training as relevant to their role.
  • Participate in the service of specific health & safety information, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Report any incidents or complaints effectively and within G4S, Trust and legislative guidelines.
  • Ensure that all staff within the services use all mechanical and electrical equipment in a correct and safe manner, using appropriate methods of work and complying with training and PPE requirements.

Planning and Control

  • Monitor and control costs associated with the department's service provision in line with management instruction.
  • Ensure correct resource levels are maintained to meet service provision.
  • Support/liaise with line management in the production of operational rosters.
  • Manage annual leave requests in accordance with operational requirements and management instruction.
  • Ensure forward planning with training sessions from the annual training calendar.
  • Promote and maintain accurate completion of paperwork.

Finance

  • To manage and evaluate targets for the service as outlined by line management.

Customers

  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner ensuring confidentiality, privacy and dignity is maintained at all times in accordance within G4S Trust and legislative policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure that all communications from the Trust, Client Teams, and the Company are cascaded as appropriate.
  • Build strong relationships and develop effective communication with the Trust Client(s), and other NHS customers to support building and maintaining excellent relationships.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach in response to the needs of the customer.
  • Maintain clear brand standards in line with the strategic intent of the account.
  • Ensure the image of the service reflects the professional image of the company.

Reporting

  • Ensure the quality and performance of the service provided by the department is monitored and reported as required.
  • Act upon audit feedback, initiating appropriate actions where necessary.

People
Management

  • Provide supervision, guidance and support to staff within the Housekeeping and Healthcare Cleaning Services to ensure they carry out their roles efficiently and effectively and comply with relevant legislative, G4S and Trust operating standards to achieve the department's service provision objectives.
  • Ensure staff are supervised in accordance with the relevant G4S or Trust policy in relation to training, absence management, disciplinary and grievance.
  • Create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with the Trust, G4S colleagues and other interested organisations and individuals.
  • Conduct the Company's appraisal process for subordinates, identifying their development and training needs and facilitating solutions to address them.
  • Engage in the process of identifying your own personal development and training needs and to attend agreed programmes of training.
  • Participate and conduct, as required, in regular team meetings, performance reviews, job chats, return to work discussions and accidents and other investigations.
