Position: Teaching Assistant
Level 9am to 3pm Monday Friday
Level 3 Primary School Teaching Assistant in lovely Primary School in Bootle
Experience essential.
Long term placement with excellent prospects of fulltime appointment

Are you passionate about learning and determined to make a real difference? We are seeking to appoint committed and inspirational Teaching Assistants who are able to obtain the best outcomes for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

Recording and reporting pupil's progress to the Teacher.
Establish good working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model.
Help pupils develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn.
Work with specialist teaching services, medical staff, counsellors and psychologists.
Actively work with pupils towards their individual achievement and objectives and success measures.
Liaise with parents, carers and guardians when appropriate.
Be aware of and respond appropriately to individual pupil needs ensuring effective interaction.
Provide specific support to pupils depending upon their individual needs ensuring their safety whilst supporting access to learning activities.
Promote inclusion, selfesteem and independence and acceptance of all pupils.
Provide some clerical/administration support to the teacher.
Promote good behaviour and support learners to achieve learning goals.

Skills and Knowledge and Training:

Appropriately qualified and have relevant skills and experience in working with children.
Adaptable and able to work on their own initiative.
Committed to working in partnership with colleagues, other professionals and families.
Good personal numeracy and literacy skills.
Patience and ability build and maintain stressful relationships with pupils, treat them consistently, with respect and consideration, and demonstrate concern for their development as learners.
Sensitivity and Understanding.
To be able to carry out basic tasks on the computer or handwritten.
Confident to work in challenging environments and to manage challenging behaviour.
Non Judgemental, flexible, adaptable, resilient, calm, selfmotivated and compassionate.
