THE JOB ROLE

We are looking to recruit an experienced Phlebotomists to expand our team working across the backcountry Hospital group and other local community clinics throughout Birmingham.

As a Phlebotomist you will be taking blood samples from patients for all our pathology services ensuring correct order of draw, and safe specimen handling using the appropriate PPE.

This role is ideally suited for someone who is experienced, caring, friendly and would like to be a part of a team that contributes towards patient care.

You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work and communicate with a large team across multiple sections.

Our Phlebotomy services operate Monday to Sunday and bank holidays to accommodate - two shifts a day 10.00 ap to 2.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 10.00pm also over time will be offered when the department is busy.

Due to the wide operating times, you would be working a combination of shifts each week which would include early and late shifts.

Weekends and bank holidays and also an expectation for this role, however they are on a rotational basis and will attract additional enhanced pay.

SKILLS REQUIREMENT AND QUALIFICATION

Phlebotomy and cannulation skill are a bonus but anyone without canulation skills we will be offer Traning and support.

Phlebotomy certificate and competency with minimum 2 years ongoing experience
