BTEC and Essential Skills Tutor

Are you conscientious, honest and reliable who is prepared to work under own initiative and to deadlines?

Morthyng Group Limited is a registered charity and voluntary sector training provider and a 'not for profit' organisation that has supported the training of young people and adults.

We are seeking experienced Tutors to work with young people aged on our study programmes.

This is an opportunity to use your skills and experience to work with young people facing some of the greatest challenges.

You will have the ability to motivate, engage, and use innovative teaching resources and have a proven track record of working with disadvantaged learners and experience in delivering BTEC Qualifications.

Some of your responsibilities will include;

Deliver and assess BTEC qualifications
Plan and deliver innovative training sessions to engage and motivate learners
Motivate and support learners to address barriers, both social and educational, and aid young people to identify areas for development
Deliver enrichment activities, work skills, employability skills, life skills, personal and social development, British Values, wider key skills and initial assessment activities
Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, developing the curriculum offer, working with small groups and working on a one to one basis
Undertake ad hoc duties as may be required by senior management commensurate with the grade of the position held

What you need:

Ability to deliver BTEC qualifications
Good presentation, organisational, planning and time management skills
Experience and related knowledge of teaching young people aged 161
Vocational qualification at level 3 or proven experience
English & Mathematics Level 2 or above
High level of written and oral communication skills
Student centred in approach to teaching and learning
