Description

A new role has been developed within the Infection Prevention team for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our dedicated Infection Prevention Team to support the implementation of the Trust's Fit testing service and infection prevention training and auditing within the Trust.


The post holder will provide a variety of administrative and data support functions to enable the Infection Prevention Team to provide an efficient effective service which include data collection, auditing and the delivery of a high quality mask fit testing service within a healthcare setting ensuring that staff are effectively protected through the use of Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE).


You will be a dynamic, motivated individual, with a keen interest in mask fit testing and a desire to improve service delivery by taking part in this initiative.


The post holder will provide a variety of administrative and support functions to enable the Infection Prevention Team to provide an efficient effective service which include data collection, auditing and the delivery of a high-quality mask fit testing service ensuring that Airedale's workforce are effectively protected through the use of Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE).

The majority of the postholder's time will be spent Mask Fit Testing staff and co-ordinating the Trust's fit testing programme.

To develop the roll out, maintenance and monitoring of a sound and effective Fit testing programme throughout the Trust. This includes running busy fit testing clinics and testing staff on a variety of Respiratory protective equipment (RPE).
To ensure accurate records are maintained to allow for prompt retrieval of current levels of fit tested staff.

To ensure divisional fit2fit testers are up to date with their fit testing training and arrange refresher training for fit testers.

The postholder will work across Trust sites to ensure there is provision of fit testing accessible to all relevant Trust staff who require the wearing of RPE as part of their role.
