Senior Company Buyer

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage supplier relationships on behalf of the company.
  • Negotiate costs and delivery lead times with suppliers.
  • Manage the documentation associated with purchase orders.
  • Analysing stock reports and monitor stock levels.
  • Managing the buying of stock from overseas.
  • Overseeing and monitoring contracts with suppliers.
  • Sourcing new suppliers in the UK and Abroad.
  • Liaise with Sales team members regarding their customers' enquiries and order status.
  • Managing and purchasing all types of PPE and other consumables.
  • Negotiate & establish long term supply contracts such as utilities, insurances and other services.

Cleveland Cable Company is the largest supplier of cables and cable accessories in the UK. Founded in 1978, we operate nine branches across the UK and Ireland supplying domestic and European markets.

In 2016, we launched Dubai-based Cleveland Cable Trading FZCO to supply markets in the Middle East and Africa, taking our business truly global.

Additionally, we own and operate Superlec Direct - an electrical wholesale, supplier, and retail e-commerce website, with Group revenues exceeding £500 million per annum.
