Description

To ensure that an efficient and caring service is provided to all Moorfields Private Patients within the relevant Clinics / Services.

To provide a professional, comprehensive and efficient reception and administration service ensuring the optimum flow of inpatient journey.


To promote a positive image of Moorfields Private Patients through the provision of excellent customer service to patients, relatives/carers and external stakeholders, demonstrating a commitment to putting patients first.


Participate in the regular induction and training of new members of staff/colleagues within the team, sharing knowledge and expertise of the administrative process, functions and speciality knowledge.


Participate in a rota system to provide cross cover for other members of staff within the team to ensure consistent and effective service is maintained during periods of annual leave/sickness.


To be responsible for ensuring high standards of data entry and quality are achieved and sustained across all services, in both paper and electronic record-keeping.


Attend mandatory training required for administrative staff to ensure compliance with the Trust Mandatory Framework including participating in annual performance and development reviews.

To always ensure adherence to the Trust's Access Policy.

Ensuring that any specific requirements are communicated in a timely manner.


To work in conjunction with the Ward Manager to ensure the ward and admission of patients run smoothly on a day to day-to-day basis, handling issues as they arise.

To provide a high standard of reception and general administrative support whilst being first point of contact to patients.


Ensure that health and safety standards are always maintained within the department and notify the appropriate manager or representative for any action required.

Meeting & greeting all patients, carers & visitors to Moorfields Private standards. Escorting patients to their rooms and ensuring full explanation of facilities and food & beverage options available to them.

To ensure that all patients admitted for surgery are checked in and out appropriately using Compucare.


Manage room inventory on the Ward & best planning of rooms whilst ensuring cleanliness standards and maintenance fault reporting throughout the day.


PROBATIONARY PERIOD


During the probationary period, your suitability for continued employment will be assessed and provided a satisfactory standard is achieved and maintained, your employment will be confirmed.

The probationary period may be extended or your employment terminated either during or at the end of probation, in line with the trust Probationary Policy.

For the duration of the probation period, the notice period will be in line with contractual obligations on either side.

The policy sets out the accountability and reporting arrangements for Information Governance in the trust and how assurance is provided that the Trust continues to meet at least the minimum standards of information governance compliance required by the NHS Information Governance Toolkit.
