Job Title: Linux Engineer

Contract Duration: 3 months initial, extendable

Location: London, UK (Hybrid with 3 days onsite)

Job Description

Design and implement high-quality Linux environments on Rocky Linux.
Create customized Linux images using Packer for various deployment scenarios.
Administer and maintain Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Manage Linux OS deployments on bare metal servers, including configuration and troubleshooting.

Instructions

This is a contract role. The successful candidate will be expected to work outside of IR35 guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

The Linux Engineer will be responsible for:

Developing and maintaining Linux environments on Rocky Linux.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical requirements.
Providing expert-level support for Linux-related issues.
Staying up-to-date with the latest Linux technologies and best practices.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

Experience working with Linux operating systems, particularly Rocky Linux.
Knowledge of Packer and its use in creating customized Linux images.
Strong Linux administration skills, including system configuration and troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
