    About the Role
  • Responsible for supporting the development and execution of the Groups taxation strategy along with overseeing the compliance and reporting responsibilities for the Group with a particular focus on the UK. The Job Holder must be keen to develop or further enhance their knowledge and abilities on overseeing global tax matters including Transfer Pricing, M&A, business partnering and BEPS 2.0. initiatives.

What You'll Do:


  • Business partner effectively with various stakeholders ranging from legal, HR, Finance along with business facing teams
  • Oversee the groups compliance and reporting activities across Corporate and Indirect Taxes with specific focus on the UK. Look for opportunities to improve and streamline processes through the adoption of a continuous improvement mindset
  • Oversee preparation of the transfer pricing framework for intragroup transaction across various countries, keeping in mind the local legislations
  • Communicate tax implications to relevant stakeholders in relation to business projects and as part of commercial negotiations
  • Support entities on taxation alternatives and opportunities with a focus to reduce tax liabilities and drive the bottom line
  • Work effectively with the Global tax compliance team, helping in the development of their knowledge and skills
  • Manage relationships with external consultants in order to help support business restructuring, product/business acquisitions and tax planning

Direct tax

  • Corporation tax compliance of group companies based mainly in the UK along with input where necessary for non UK entities
  • Manage Permanent Establishment issues an deal with tax related matters in relation to country expansion
  • Ensuring accurate and timely payment of advance corporation tax for the group
  • Country by Country reporting compliance
  • Base Erosion & Profit Shifting Compliance (BEPS) including Pillar
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with various tax rules including Corporate Interest restriction, loss carry forward, SAO and the CFC regime

Indirect tax

  • Oversee VAT compliance including Intrastat and EC Sales list of entire group in almost 30 countries
  • Oversee VAT impact of product/business acquisitions and related integration

Transfer Pricing

  • Ensure the transfer pricing model and policy remains updated and relevant as business structures evolve over time
  • Ensure appropriate transfer pricing agreements are maintained
  • Oversight of the effective implementation of the transfer pricing policy of the group
  • Initiate Unilateral Advance pricing agreement (APA) where relevant

Advisory and Tax Audits

  • Responsible for Statutory and tax authority tax audits
  • Advising on cash repatriation issues and FX management
  • Utilising consultants effectively to support M&A, integration, tax planning and business restructuring initiatives
  • Supporting and advising HR and supply chain teams on material employee tax and custom tax related issues where relevant.

Qualifications:


  • Degreelevel education
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS / UK GAAP

Experience & Competences:


  • Experience of managing professional staff
  • Significant experience in Taxation 510 years
  • Experience of working in a SAP environment and good working knowledge of system migration / implementations
