Do you have the potential to become an outstanding pastoral leader? We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and engaging Head of Year to join our pastoral team.

You will play a key leadership role in overseeing and inspiring our students, in addition to being:

Committed to promoting personal and academic development
Eager to contribute to the provision of outstanding pastoral care
Driven to ensure that the school's core principles of equality, community and inclusion are at the heart of school life

The role of Head of Year is pivotal within the school and the successful post holder will move through each year group with their students throughout KS3 and 4.

We are looking for someone who is supportive, with the authority to be a figurehead for this year group as well as a visible and respected presence across the school.

Applicants will show enthusiasm towards joining our dynamic, dedicated and supportive team and will demonstrate the highest standards of delivery in order to raise attainment, while displaying a commitment to motivating young people.

At Regent High School our Heads of Year occupy professional services roles.

Our Heads of Year bring with them a wealth of experience that enables them to provide the most effective pastoral leadership and care for our students and their families.

Though 'support staff' is the term often used by other schools for staff in non-teaching roles, we use the term 'professional services' to encompass the wide range of experiences and expertise that our non-teaching staff bring to Regent High School.

Further, we offer progression opportunities for all staff, including professional services staff, including to SLT.
