Join our Rail team as a Commercial Assistant for the Core Valley Lines Project and you'll be part of work that really matters to our business and become involved in some of the biggest infrastructure projects in the industry.

The role offers hybrid working and flexible working.


Purpose of the role:


  • Support the commercial function by providing clerical and administrative duties in accordance with the document management system.
  • Proactively working with the team, updating databases; downloading and manipulating data into spreadsheets, pivot tables and other electronic formats.
  • Assist with the reporting; creating and maintaining registers, trackers and schedules.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining data in accordance with the approved filing structure and amending, revising, or updating this structure as required, coordinating and recording meetings

What you'll be doing

As a Commercial Assistant
you will:


  • Support with compilation of plant and labour costs for package leads
  • Take minutes for cost and performance meeting
  • Support Wider team with tracking costs for Plant and Labour onsite
  • Produce payment certificate
  • Updating order value particulars
  • Prepare monthly payment/payless notices
  • Run contract cost reports from accounting software
  • Support Commercial leads during month end ensuring system accruals are accurate and billing of jobs are undertaken
  • Collate and Prepare customer invoices
  • Point of Contact for Commercial Administration
  • Organise monthly subcontractor meetings (if necessary)

  • Experience in the efficient and effective management of software skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Adaptable to changing situations

  • Office 36
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Previous experience in Construction Industry
