Year 6 Teacher - Roles and Responsibilities

Have a secure knowledge fo the USK2 curriculum and keep up to date with curriculum guidance for KS2 relating to the SATS
Be familiar with the schools policies and structure including Safeguarding and behaviour
Support the values and vision of the school
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the schools policies and schemes of work
Provide a clear structure and sequence of lessons which maintain pace and challenge
Make effective use of assessment on pupils attainment and progress and use this to inform future planning.
Ensure effective teaching of the whole class, groups and individuals by setting targets in line with children's current attainment.
Mark and monitor class work and homework, providing constructive feedback for students
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other staff members within the school
Report feedback to parents in a suitable manner including Reports and Parents Evening.
Participate in the wider life of the school including training, events, trips and assemblies.
