Skilled/ Semi skilled HGV fitter required for busy transport company based in the Poulton-Le-Fylde area, successful applicant will assist in the day to day general maintenance of our own and customers commercial fleets.


What the position involves:

  • Mechanical, electrical repair and preventative maintenance of our own and customer vehicles and trailers.
  • You will also diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical defects and related ancillary equipment in compliance with company and legislative requirements.
  • Prepare and present vehicles for Annual Test, carry out brake tests
  • Ensure work is completed to the required standard
  • Be polite and courteous to customers and other members of staff at all times

Skills and knowledge:

  • You will have relevant technical experience gained from working in a relevant workshop
  • The ability to work to your own initiative or as part of a team is essential
  • Applicants should have a full clean driving licence (HGV licence would be advantageous)
Hourly rate depends on experience.
